One Direction are a British-Irish boy band made up of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik. They took part in the 10th series of X Factor UK in 2010 where they finished in third place. The boys were then signed to Syco Records and released their record-breaking debut album "Up All Night" in 2011, and their second album "Take Me Home" in 2012. The boys are also signed to Columbia Records in the United States, and made history when they became the first British group in US chart history to enter at #1 on Billboard 200 with their debut album. The world’s biggest pop band, One Direction, has recorded this year’s official Red Nose Day single, One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks). The band will perform the single, a cover of Blondie’s 1978 smash hit, for the first time at this year’s BRIT awards on Wednesday 20th February.
